Out of the loop?

December 11, 2010

Long-time reader Greg Cook wrote the following:

Carl Killen, the Progressive Conservative MLA for Saint John Harbour, also rose to detail the role of education in economic development, promising the government will enhance post-secondary education and training options. He said making the province’s community colleges and universities more responsive to labour market changes would help students find employment and prosperity upon graduation [source].

I always though universities were about maturing more knowledgeable human beings, rather than being a job factory.

On his Facebook page Greg comments on the same topic, “I just posted the comment by Carl Killen in today’s Telegraph-Journal which makes one wonder if he was with us on the street when we fought to save UNBSJ three years ago.”

On the street? Did he even know what was going on?
