Okay here’s a question:

April 4, 2009

How can this government have the gall to tell universities that they will be financially penalized if they don’t implement wage freezes? Sure, they have frozen (some) public sector wages — after their own raises were safely in the bag — but with two giant loopholes: bonuses are still allowed, and the pension plan will be bailed out. Now public universities don’t do bonuses, and we have heard nary a word about any help for our own troubled pensions. So in fact, Shawn Graham is asking universities to take a considerably worse deal than they are offering public sector employees.

How in blue blazes is that fair?
