Just came across a media story about public sector pay freezes in California. So our provincial government is not as original as we might have thought. They have, however, managed to put their own little twist: the kicker is that in California the freeze is only applied to those at the upper pay levels ($150,000 per annum and above) whereas here in N.B. all those juicy tax breaks are on the backs of those with lower and middle incomes.
